Good morning, I just wanted to drop you a quick message to thank you all for your assistance yesterday, following a problem with the locking mechanism of one of our upvc doors at .................................. My wife called me at work, just prior to her bedtime, to advise me that the mechanism had broken. Being on nights, I feared the worst – security issues – being kept up throughout the day, waiting for help etc (I have had some poor experiences in the past). I called you at 08:00; by 09:00, one of your guys was onsite and sorting it out. He was utterly professional and after resolving the broken gearbox, adjusted the door and keeps, so that it now closes and locks with minimum effort. It was never correct. The installation by ................. was very poor. Despite two visits from ................. to adjust the door, it never aligned properly, necessitating a sharp tap on the handle, in order to locate the rollers and claws in the keep. I talk a good job don’t I? I didn’t know any of these terms, before this happened. Your guy obviously has great pride in his workmanship. I’m afraid that being on nights dulls my little brain, as I never asked for his name. Thanks you so much for your polite, prompt response and for resolving the issue so painlessly for me.
